Your 1 LB coils come bound and dry in a thick 4mil bag ready to be put on our reusable spools! When not in use, it can be placed back in the bag for safe keeping. Bonus points for using our rechargable color indicating dehumidifying Silica Desiccants to keep it nice and dry.
Coiled plastic has less shipping weight than spooled plastic (due to the weight of the spool) and costs less to produce allowing you to explore and print in more colors for less money.
We evaluated many different grades of ABS from many different manufacturers to find the best plastic possible for your printer. This ABS is extruded to incredible precision, meaning better looking prints, less fiddling with calibration, and fewer extruder failures. You will also find this plastic extrudes very well in all extruder types. Some suppliers use a High Flow Grade plastic, great for injection molding but bad for some printers that are more prone to clogging and stripping from heat traveling back up the filament driver.
ABS prints well with an extruder temperature of 225C on a heated print bed covered with our Polyimide Tape and set to 105C.
